Meet our people

We’re a collective of like-minded people all with distinct backgrounds,
unified by a shared passion to produce great work.

John Volckman
One of The Idea Shed’s original founding fathers; John if you’re formal, JV to the familiar, is an inquisitive creative-head that believes ideas & creativity are the heart of a great agency. With a background delivering innovative, strategic & creative campaigns, when he’s not spending time with his young family, you can find him sandpapering his office hands to make sure he fits in when he goes back home to the family farm.
Richie Strettell
Prior to helping establish The Idea Shed, Richie previously spent his time primarily client side, working across a number of commercial roles in sales, national accounts & innovation. Believing that culture is the most important component of a successful agency, when he’s not busy leading the client service team he can be found at a gig, hosting his Rugby League podcast & joining the team at a local establishment for a beer.
Karin Andreasson
Client Services Director
Organiser, fixer… agency mum? With extensive experience in client services, Karin is account lead across some of our biggest clients in the alcohol, pharmaceutical & FMCG industries.
Rich McCrum
